What is Noun, types of noun, collective noun किसे कहते है और इसके 300+ उदाहरण, countable noun और इसके प्रकार तथा Uncountable Noun के बारे में विस्तार से बताया गया है तो चलिए सुरु करते है –

What is Noun

A Noun is the name of a person, place, thing, quality, condition and action.

For Example – Mukesh, Patna, Pen, Honesty, Illness, Movement

Kinds of Noun are ≤ What is Noun

  1. Countable Noun,
  2. Uncountable Noun

Countable Noun

The Nouns which can be counted, called Countable Noun. For Example – Veena, girl, class etc. Countable Noun are three types also.

  1. Proper Noun
  2. Common Noun
  3. Collective Noun

Proper Noun – The Noun which denotes a proper person, place or thing. For Example – Proper person : Binay, Ajit, Nilu Proper place : Mumbai, KOlkata, Delhi Proper thing : Ramayana, Gita, Bible  

Common Noun – The Noun which denotes common person, place or things. For Example – Common Person : Man, Woman Common place : Town, School Common Thing : Book, Table

Collective Noun – The Noun which denotes a group of persons or other creatures and collection of things. For Example : Group of Persons : A crew of sailors, A team of players, A class of students, An army of soldiers etc. Group of Things : A fleet of ships, A bunch of flowers, A library of books etc.

Uncountable Noun

The Nouns which cannot be counted, called Uncountable Noun. For Example – Gold, water, oil, coffee, honesty etc. Uncountable Noun are two types also.

  1. Material Noun
  2. Abstract Noun

Material Noun : The Noun which denotes materials. For Example – copper, silver, tea, coffee, ghee etc.

Abstract Noun : The Noun which denotes quality, condition or action. For Example – wisdom, humanity, pride, bravery, childhood etc.
