Tense Exercise

Tense Exercise में tense का प्रयोग कब और केसे किया जाता है, को 107 वाक्यों की मदद से समझाया गया है। जिसमे आपको simple present tense exercise और present continuous tense exercise के साथ अन्य शेष 10 tense के उदाहरण मिश्रित रूप से देखने और समझने को मिलेगे तो चलिए सुरु करते है –

With each sentence of this exercise, we have given a word that indicate appropriate Use of Tense.

How we can fill up blank with suitable verbs.

For example:

⇒ My young brother ………. to Mumbai last month.

In this Example, there is a word ‘last month’ that tell us about ‘Past tense’. And in the Use of Past Tense, we conform and fill up the blank with the verb of ‘Past Simple tense’. So given sentence will be –

⇒ My young brother went to Mumbai last month.

Three Common Rule for next eleven example

  1. for continue action use ‘Past Continue Tense’ and for complete action use ‘Past Simple Tense’  (mostly we use ‘Verb 2nd’ form after conjunction ‘when’)
  2. ………….. + Had + Verb 3rd form……….. ( before ) …………… + Verb 2nd form ……….
  3. ………….. + Verb 2nd form …………. (after ) …………….+ Had + Verb 3rd form ………..   concept based sentence
  1. It was raining when we reached the station.
  2. The light went out while I was reading.
  3. When I saw him, he was singing and smoking a cigarette at the same time.  (  )
  4. When she was listening to the radio last night, she heared a loud sound.
  5. When he saw her, she was sleeping in her chair.
  6. He said that he had been writing a novel.
  7. The rain has stopped when she came to see me.
  8. The patient had died before the doctor came.
  9. I had finished my work when Raman came to see her.
  10. The train had left before we reached the station.
  11. They went home after they had finished their work.
